The End of Boring Work

Most folks today are doing things they don't want to do. With people, they don't want to be around. For money, they'll spend to show off to people who don't care.

That's not my original thought. I heard it somewhere or read it somewhere. Can't really remember where. But it's so true.

But as I use more and more AI in my work, I strongly believe it's going to change everything.

How? By taking on all the soulless, boring tasks. The ones no sane human wants to do. Leaving only the great stuff behind.

We do these boring tasks for money. But when AI takes over the monotonous, mind-numbing work? All that'll be left is the good stuff.

But we're not there yet. Maybe 3-5 years away. Maybe less.

And, I see it happening in stages:

1. AI helping humans with everything -> The copilot stage

2. Humans and AI working together, each doing their part -> The agent stage

3. AI doing everything itself -> The AGI :)

We're at stage 1 now. So we've got a few years to go.

But when we get there? When AI takes over the tasks we hate?

That's when we'll be free. Free to focus on what matters.

It won't happen overnight. But it will happen.

And when it does? We'll look back and wonder how we ever lived any other way.
