I'll never do that again.
I saw a founder's LinkedIn profile today. Saw something that made so much sense.
He wrote down what he learned working with other founders before becoming one. And what he'll never do again.
Seems too small. Like something anyone would do. But here's the thing: hardly anyone does it.
People make the same mistakes over and over. And it's the worst imaginable behaviour.
I worked at a soul-sucking services company -> "I'll never do that again."
I tried to get rich fast trading derivatives (without learning) -> "I'll never do that again."
I worked in an industry I knew nothing about (FOMO) -> "I'll never do that again."
If you could put that "I'll never do that again" tag on all your mistakes? Life would be so easy.
But everyone thinks they're doing it. They're not.
Why? Because big shiny things get in the way. Money. Love. Work-life balance. And it never turns out good :(
So, it looks like the magic words we all were looking for aren't 3, but 6.
"I will never do that again."
